Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 11th, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the AutoTidy website and services.

By using AutoTidy, creating an account or submitting a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website or our services.

2. About AutoTidy

AutoTidy is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent mobile valeting professionals (“valeters”) throughout the United Kingdom.

AutoTidy does not provide valeting services and is not a party to the contract for the supply of those services. Any agreement for valeting services is made directly between the customer and the independent valeter.

AutoTidy acts solely as a platform to facilitate introductions and bookings.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use AutoTidy or create an account.

By using the platform, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

4. Customer bookings

Customers may submit bookings through the AutoTidy platform.

Submitting a booking does not guarantee that a valeter will accept the booking or that services will be available in your area.

Where no suitable valeter is available, the booking may expire without being accepted and no deposit or booking fee will be charged.

Valeters may submit custom quotes for bookings where a fixed price is not available. Customers are under no obligation to accept any custom quote.

For standard bookings, valeters may offer alternative dates if they are unavailable on the customer’s selected dates. Customers are under no obligation to accept any alternative date offered.

5. Payments and deposits

When a customer submits a booking or custom quote request, a deposit or booking fee may be authorised on their payment card. This is a pre-authorisation only and does not mean that any funds have been charged.

The authorised deposit or booking fee will only be charged if:

  • A valeter accepts the booking;
  • The customer accepts an alternative date offered by a valeter; or
  • The customer accepts a custom quote provided by a valeter.

If a booking or custom quote request is not accepted, is cancelled before acceptance, or expires without being accepted, the authorised amount will be released and no deposit or booking fee will be charged.

For standard bookings, the remaining balance is payable directly to the valeter after the service has been completed by cash, bank transfer or card, where the valeter accepts card payments.

For custom quote requests, the full quoted amount is payable directly to the valeter after the service has been completed by cash, bank transfer or card, where the valeter accepts card payments.

AutoTidy acts solely as a booking platform and payment facilitator for the deposit or booking fee. The contract for the valeting service is formed directly between the customer and the independent valeter.

AutoTidy is not responsible for payment methods offered by a valeter, the collection of any remaining balance or quoted amount, or for the collection or enforcement of any additional charges, cancellation fees, late cancellation fees or late payment fees charged by a valeter.

Where a vehicle is found to be in a condition beyond that reasonably expected for the selected service, including but not limited to excessive dirt, excessive rubbish, pet hair, mould or other contamination, the valeter may, at their sole discretion, request an additional charge or decline to carry out the service. The valeter should notify the customer of any additional charges and obtain the customer’s agreement before commencing the service.

Any additional charges, cancellation fees, late cancellation fees or late payment fees are agreed directly between the customer and the valeter. AutoTidy is not responsible for setting, collecting, enforcing or resolving disputes relating to such charges or fees.

6. Cancellations

Before acceptance

Customers may cancel a booking or custom quote request at any time through their AutoTidy account provided that:

  • No valeter has accepted the booking;
  • No custom quote has been accepted; and
  • No alternative date offered by a valeter has been accepted.

Any authorised deposit or booking fee will be released and no payment will be taken.

After acceptance

A booking becomes accepted when:

  • A valeter accepts a booking;
  • A customer accepts a custom quote; or
  • A customer accepts an alternative date offered by a valeter.

Once accepted, any cancellation must be arranged directly with the assigned valeter.

Deposits and booking fees

Once a booking has been accepted, the deposit or booking fee charged by AutoTidy is generally non-refundable.

However, AutoTidy may, at its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis, issue a full or partial refund where there is evidence that:

  • The valeter failed to attend the appointment;
  • The valeter could not be contacted within a reasonable period; or
  • The service provided fell significantly below a reasonable standard.

The decision to issue any refund rests solely with AutoTidy and will be made after reviewing the information provided by both the customer and the valeter.

Cancellation fees and additional charges

Independent valeters may operate their own cancellation policies and may charge cancellation fees, late cancellation fees or very late cancellation fees where a booking has already been accepted.

Valeters may also charge additional fees where a vehicle is found to be in a condition beyond that reasonably expected for the selected service, including excessive dirt, excessive rubbish, pet hair, mould or other contamination. Any such charges must be explained to the customer and agreed before the service begins.

Any cancellation fees, late cancellation fees or additional charges are agreed directly between the customer and the valeter. AutoTidy is not responsible for setting, collecting, enforcing or resolving disputes relating to such fees or charges.

7. Valeter cancellations

If a valeter cancels a confirmed booking, repeatedly fails to respond or fails to attend an agreed appointment, AutoTidy may investigate the circumstances and may, at its discretion, refund any deposit or booking fee paid by the customer.

Repeated failures to attend appointments, respond to customers or honour confirmed bookings may result in warnings, suspension or permanent removal from the AutoTidy platform.

8. Customer responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking information;
  • Provide an accurate service address;
  • Provide accurate contact details;
  • Accurately state whether water or electricity is available;
  • Ensure the vehicle is safely accessible;
  • Remove valuables and personal belongings before the appointment;
  • Communicate respectfully with valeters; and
  • Pay any remaining balance directly to the valeter as agreed.

9. Valeter responsibilities

Valeters agree that:

  • All information provided during registration is accurate;
  • They are authorised to provide the services advertised;
  • They will maintain accurate contact information;
  • They will respond to bookings within a reasonable time;
  • They will behave professionally and respectfully; and
  • They will honour confirmed bookings wherever reasonably possible.

Where a valeter declares that they are fully insured, they confirm that valid insurance is in place and will remain in place while using the AutoTidy platform.

Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal.

10. Valeter approval

AutoTidy manually reviews applications before approving valeters to join the platform.

While we aim to maintain a high-quality network, approval should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a valeter’s quality, reliability, availability, qualifications, insurance status or suitability.

Customers remain responsible for making their own decisions before proceeding with any booking.

11. Customer & valeter conduct

Users must not:

  • Provide false information;
  • Abuse or harass other users;
  • Submit fraudulent bookings;
  • Misuse the platform;
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website; or
  • Upload unlawful or inappropriate content.

AutoTidy reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

12. Complaints

Customers are encouraged to raise any concerns directly with the valeter in the first instance.

AutoTidy may review complaints and, at its sole discretion, investigate matters brought to our attention.

Repeated complaints relating to reliability, communication, professionalism, missed appointments or other service issues may result in warnings, suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

AutoTidy is not obliged to mediate or resolve disputes between customers and valeters.

13. Independent services

Valeters operate as independent businesses and are solely responsible for the services they provide.

AutoTidy does not supervise, manage or control how services are performed.

AutoTidy is not responsible for:

  • The quality of workmanship;
  • Damage to vehicles or property;
  • Delays;
  • Missed appointments;
  • Cancellation charges;
  • Disputes between customers and valeters;
  • Loss of earnings;
  • Inconvenience; or
  • Indirect or consequential losses.

Any claim relating to the service itself should be pursued directly with the valeter responsible for carrying out the work.

14. Vehicle condition

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is safe to work on and free from hazardous conditions.

Customers should remove valuables and personal belongings before the appointment.

AutoTidy accepts no responsibility for items left inside vehicles.

15. Platform availability

While we aim to provide uninterrupted access, AutoTidy does not guarantee that the website or booking platform will always be available or error-free.

We may suspend or modify services without notice for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

16. Intellectual property

All content on the AutoTidy website, including logos, branding, text, graphics and software, remains the property of AutoTidy unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without permission.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoTidy’s total liability arising from the use of the platform shall not exceed the amount of any deposit or booking fee paid directly to AutoTidy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

18. Force majeure

AutoTidy and independent valeters shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, illness, accidents, power failures or other unforeseen circumstances.

19. Privacy

Use of the AutoTidy platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

20. Changes to these terms

AutoTidy may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on our website, together with the updated revision date.

Continued use of the platform after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of those changes.

21. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
